A woman who owns a Subaru Outback praised the manufacturer after walking away completely unharmed from an accident in which her car rolled five times.
Meredith shared her story in a video posted on her TikTok profile. In the clip, she talked more about the accident. “I saw all the airbags deploy around me and came out with shattered glass, all the windows broken: the rear, the sides, the front, the windshield, everything. I walked away completely unharmed, except for a cut lip.”
Her car was completely destroyed, but despite the damage to the body, she found herself laughing in an ambulance. “After that, I was full of adrenaline, so I kept laughing in the ambulance and saying ‘sorry’ to the paramedics because I thought, ‘This is a serious situation and I’m probably scaring them.'”
While receiving some care in the ambulance, the paramedics surprised Meredith by saying they already knew she was okay after learning from witnesses that the rolled car was a Subaru Outback.
“The paramedics told me they were thinking of using the extrication equipment on my car. When they found out I was in a Subaru Outback, they said, ‘She’s probably fine.'”
Meredith’s video has received over 1.3 million views. In the comments, users shared their own stories with Subarus, while some took the opportunity to praise other positive attributes of the Japanese manufacturer’s vehicles.
“I had an accident with a 2019 Subaru Outback and walked away unharmed,” shared a TikTok user. “I rolled my Outback GT three times when I was 16. My passenger was unharmed — the only injury I had was because my hand was out the window,” another revealed.
“I got the Subaru Outback from my mom on my 16th birthday. It’s still in great condition, 11 years old and 380,000 km. I only needed to replace the brakes, the battery, and do the oil changes. That’s it,” commented a third user.
